there's no end to the crap strewn around here.
55mph gusts at one point acc'd to nat'l weather service.
we have alot of big pecans and they shedded like crazy.

Just got a call from my next door neighbor in Kerrville, two trees down in back yard, piece of metal roofing in corner of car port crunched up some where in yard, luckily no damage to house. He will drag the trees to burn pile in my other lot. They said winds where over 60 mph... No need to go home...

The entire roof blew off of the Irion county road maintenance barn...about a 80'x30' structure. My rickety 60 year old barn survived with tin flapping.

nah...
I have an unlimited supply of 15-18in dry, easy-to-split mesquite.
pecan doesnt make very good coals..
trash wood, imo.

Before heading back to San Antonio, I took advantage of the ultra-low water levels caused by monday's winds. I took about a dozen pictures of the now exposed reefs and bottom sturcture around Goose Island. I'm going to study these and use them for reference for future wade fishing outings.
