| I hate to bring this up, but when does spring break kick in down there? I'm thinking around the first or second week of march.. I'm going to try to squeeze in one more trip before then weather permitting.. |

| Generally speaking the biggest turnout is the 2nd and 3rd weekend of March. |

| Thanks, I try to avoid the coast during spring break and holidays.. I lived in florida and south alabama on the coast and know when to avoid the beach unless I just feel really crazy, which doesn't happen often these days. |

Padre Island National Seashore is usually not bad at all. You just have to get out there early and come back to town by 3pm to avoid the zoo. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| Avoid the beach, yes. Avoid fishing, no. It has been my experience that the fishing pressure is not any heavier during spring break. Just avoid the island. Launch at Laguna Shores Marina, or Bluffs Landing, and you will not have much hassle. If wading, get out early, even on the island side, and again no problem. The traffic will be coming to the island when you are leaving it. Not a real good time to do any surf fishing. |

| True That! I spend time at or around the 25-30 mark. Not a crowd and lots of good fishing! <*/)))>< |

Looks like all the major universities in Texas will be out from the 11th to the 15th.
It's usually not too bad before/after the main event though, at least in the 8 years I've been in Port A.
Should be relatively quiet until about the evening of the 6th; I'd be on my way out by the 7th if you're coming down the first week. _________________ I'd rather be fishing |

I've never done spring break up here but we've fished it the past few years in south padre. I'm sure the hangovers aren't any different in corpus than in south padre though ha we just hit the water at sunrise and there isn't a soul around then don't try to go anywhere in the afternoon or you'll be in the traffic. _________________ If there is a picture of a fish above I'm a happy man |

Easter also can be rather hettic(sp?) but I think Easter comes on the last weekend in March this year. _________________ Mike |

Shame on you Sapo! I got a little nasty PM from one recently after I made a rather innocent comment on deep V-Lund boats and the occupants therein.

The deep V lund crew have not only figured out that sheepies are the finest inshore table fare, and that ghost shrimp are candy, but that spring break signals that its time to pack up and follow the white pelicans |
