So you are saying that it was pointless for me to point that out? I believe thats what you are trying to say.

Not at all BamaRed54. You hit the nail on the head. I'm a BIG fan of single posts that cover the entire story. And yes, the fewer the words, the better [at least for the bandwidth].

The other part about the Shakespeare quote that has been mis-understood throughout the eons was just Lagnaippe.

Hamlet if I'm not mistaken!

Here's to gulftrout, who generates almost as many responses to his posts (even omitting his multiples) as He who shall not be mentioned did. They're good stories though, even those that disappeared! I hope I don't see him out at BHP impersonating 'flounder daddy' though Very Happy !

Wish you'd have kept it out there Gulftrout but I understand. For those of you in the dark there was a picture of a guy in a wooden small box-like boat about 4.5 feet across with three bamboo rods holding a ribbon fish that he had caught. It was awesome! Very Happy

I do understand dumping it after the allegations that were made. That is one reason I never posted the deal about the thefts with no arrests. I got that email but if there are no arrests I am not going to post up some dude's name out there.
Well, dang now I'm even confused after Tyler's post. Here are the pictures of the small watercraft. The fisherman had three bamboo poles and had three soda cans for reels. Not sure what he was using for bait, but I can assure you he was flat out reeling in the ribbons!

Dayum!! I think everyone (including me) has the heebie jeebies, shakes, withdrawal symptoms, cabin fever, and winter depression syndrome - all rolled into one. Sure am glad we do all this fussin and cussin over the net - otherwise i'm not sure how many would be left standing when the dust settled.

Sure hope warmer weather gets here soon. Not sure it would be real smart to have another fish fry or meet and greet until it gets here. Don't know if there would be any survivors left to go fishing. Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

The pictures are great, and he is just doing his thing. I don't see a problem with that. And, the overhead is definitely low!!!!!

When I was young and hunting ducks on the tanks around Lorena, we often had to wade after them, but on one large government tank, someone had welded 2 old Ford hoods together for a boat and I paddled it with a 1"x4'. It worked pretty well but didn't track straight. I could at least paddle out and get my ducks.

I have thought about that "boat" over the years. I was lucky it didn't sink. If it had, I might have drowned. It was always cold when I was hunting ducks, often early and before school, and I wasn't the best of swimmers.

Did it have "El Ranger" painted on the side. If so, I know where it came from. Laughing
