When I was younger I used to haul steel from the load yard to the welding shop on a 30 ft flatbed with electric brakes. The loads were generally 20,000 lbs. I learned quickly after being pushed by my load through a couple of stop lights after the brakes were applied. Luckily I never plowed into anyone. I was young and learned quickly. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| My wife and I just bought a new Cedar Creek Silverback, 36 1/2 feet long with 3 slides. We love it and it pulls better than the 31 foot Cougar we had before. I know when we bought our 1st 5th wheel we were overwhelmed by all the models and floorplans, but after having one for 4 years, it was a lot easier to make a selection this time. Take your time and you will find something that fits you perfectly. Good luck and happy camping. |

Just found out that Carriage went out of business 10 months ago. All their workers went to the mfg. of Lifestyles. Still researching 5th wheels and traveling. Already looked at trucks me like them. Heap big GMC 2500 with all the goodies. We still have a few years to go but planning is fun. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| we have a 32ft. 1986 Dutchman. wouldnt trade her for the world. there is always something to work on, but everything works. we've left her at the coast for the last 10 years or so. dont do much travel. and the rust is starting to show. but i just bring a can of paint and cover it up each time we come down. nothing better than the awning out , the 'peno lights strung up and some beach music on the radio. good luck Stan in finding one, we really enjoy ours. |

For the oil field I purchased a 1998 Fleetwood
Mallard. 30 feet long, 4600 lbs; and
my 3/4 ton 4x4 Chevy with 4.10
gears doesn't know if it is a fifth wheel
or bumper pull, as tongue weight is low
on weight distribution hitch...
If I were with a woman, I'd upgrade to
a multi-slide fifth wheel, 40 foot,
one ton and a dog house in case you
forget to open your gray/septic holding
tanks! |

Yes you can because I know it will have a full tank, be clean, and just like I left it when I return. I might even leave the keys to it. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

IMS, Will you be going to the RV Show at the ABC? We will have a Lifestyle there as well as a lot of other RV's that we are pulling in from other stores. There will be CC Rv and Camper Clinic there as well. Might be a great place to check out multiple brands. _________________ Jeff...aka Boatman...361-729-9695 |

As long as your looking at this thread, do you know a good place to have an RV completely repainted, my decals and clear coat are peeling pretty bad.
I gotta fix it or sell it. I don't like it looking shabby in my driveway. |

If your looking to pait I would try a good Paint & body shop. These decals are always cracking and peeling. I think the S. TX heat and humidity does a number on them. _________________ Jeff...aka Boatman...361-729-9695 |
