Thought we might do a little fishing after seeing the barometer was dropping yesterday after work. Tried Lexington but was too windy. Went to the canals on the Rincon and started catching undersized drum and reds along the bulkheads. Rigged my large rod with a crab gulp and shrimp fishbites and threw into middle of Rincon. A little later my wife saw the line was slack. She caught the drum which measured 43 inches. It hit the fishbites. Took pictures then released. Also caught a nice sized sand trout on the gulp.

North Beach. There is a subdivision with canals that empty into it and it joins Nueces Bay at north end.
