Between work and trolling for Blues (mostly workin) it has been a while since I have really pursued my first love for the water. So this winter I am going back after them and hope to have many great trips. Purchased a new boat two years ago and have only managed to put 70 hrs on it.

Fished waste to stomach deep Saturday on a solo trip, hitting many spots mainly for scouting purposes. Water temp between 46 and 47. Found easy limits of trophy weight slot reds and lots of trout as well. On Sunday Jay Gardner and Joe Devine would join. Jay landed a few of those hefty reds as well. I Did manage a late christmas present on just about the only thing I through, a corky. Sorry for the sad condition of the pics. All I had on me was my GoPro and these are still frames. She went 9lbs and I did not get a measurement. She went back to the only place she belongs.

Thanks

Nate

Looks like you were able to lure her out of some less than pristine or brown tide type water...that aint easy. How were the water conditions?? Thanks.

Thanks all. Stan... we actually didn't leave till 9 Sunday. The water clarity was actually really nice. The only turbidity was just from us me walking around there chasing her lips with my boga.

Way to go Nate! Wait till Nyatia is born and your fishing will slow down even more! But I mean that in a GOOD WAY! Thanks for the report!
