Woke up this mornin and decided to head out for a lil fishin before I knew I was gonna have to be at work later on. Left the house at about sun up, 6am. I was in the water by 6:30 and heading out to one of my locations with a good buddy of mine from Portland. We fished the backside of Nueces and all I have to say is THE TRUCHA ARE HERE. This time of year its the Flounder run and the BIG SAL TROUT OF THE WINTER. Didnt get any record breakers today but it sure was fun. We probably released over 40+ dink specs. Im Definitely gonna be out & about this weekend with my GIG tearing up some flounder !!!!! See yall on the water

Way to go!

This must be a long 30 days with no gigging.

You seem to know where the fish are. Good luck this weekend!

Thank you, yea Ive been out doing a lot of scouting the last 30 days and I have to report to everyone that there are a lot of DOOR MATS out there if you know what I mean... Its gonna be a very interesting weekend, prolly gonna look like a damn carnival with the mixture of all the locals & winter texans lights at Packery. Thats why I try and stay away from all the "Hotspots" during the month of December for the Flounder.

That's a shame that people can't follow some simple damn rules !!!! And the ole "I didn't know it was illegal in November" trick ain't gna cut it. If your not an active member of the CCA and an avid fisherman that obides by the law, than u need to Jst stay out of the water.

FYI: My prediction for this past friday night @ midnight was SPOT ON !!!! IT WAS A FREAKING CARNIVAL AT PACKERY as I was driving by to my floundering location. I ended up gettin my 5 flounder limit in no time. Didn't go Saturday or Sunday night, wind was blowing pretty good. I'll be back on the flounder again later on this week.

It's a great time of the year. May your lines always be tight, and the sound of "fish on" fill your ears, during this Christmas season.

And it sounds like wishes come true.
