| Drove down to 35 on Monday afternoon. Set up camp for father daughter trip. Driving was as easy as it gets, water great, now if dad can just hook up a few fish for his 10 year old all will be good. Woke up around 0500 Tuesday morning get coffe going, cook breakfast, and watch raccoon eat chicken strips my daughter had left for food behind campsite. After bacon and eggs, put on waders and prayed that fish would cooperate. Fish bite tipped with shrimp on a number 2 circle hook. BAM! Her first pompano on first cast. Life is good. After this process repeats itself a few times, daughter tells me, dad your turn. Rigged up mullet on same hook, BAM! Something nailed it, then slack...mullet bit off right behind hook. Not being very smart repeated this setup. Same result. Switched to a bigger hook, now I get cut off. 30lb leader done. Wire leader time, big hook = nice blue runner. Long story short, used all of mullet by 1000, all of our shrimp by 1400. Daughter had a blast on her 1st trip down the island and so did her Dad. I could not have asked for a better Thanksgiving. Thanks Capt Billy |

Great report.
Cherish these moments with her. In a blink, she will be 21 like my daughter. _________________
