Headed down with phil on monday with high hopes of running big baits for big fish....long story short....things did not go as planned. Reguardless of bait size or where we dropped em, the pup sharks would not leave us alone! Evil or Very Mad We probably should have moved, but the lure fishing up close was to good to drive away from. Most of the trip went like this....

Bama showed up thur eve and got a nice lil bt.

I had jumped a small tarpon but didnt land him....but phil did!

Some Non fish pix....

Although the trip didnt go as planned, We still had a great time and the beach was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Ice bacame an issue by wed night, but we were still able to bring home some meat....yall get down there and get some....the surf is about to turn on!

Lol....no kurt diff coon, but this time there were two of em....wich prompted us to hold the very first....BEACH COON OLYMPICS....Give beer and some down time to shark fishermen and they can come up with anything!....The BCO included multiple glowsticks, 60lb mono, all atached to a nice size mullet....place the glowsticks down an elevated rod holder and put the mullet on the ground....the coon were picking up the mullet and taking off....sometimes up into the dunes Laughing....watching the glowstick shoot out of the rod holder was awsome.....havnt laughed so hard in years....but then again i still laugh at the word " BOOGER" Rolling Eyes

ThrillinSTX.....yeah phil still around....Nice to see ya back david! Cool

It was a pretty good time down there even though it was only one night! The raccoon Olympics were worth the price of admission by themselves! The fish were just a bonus! I really appreciate you letting me tag along John!

Very nice report Johnny. I was going to post one up for the same time frame but I was working and it wasn't exciting at all. Hoping for good weather week after next.
