The reason I ask is, I'm getting one as a warranty replacement. My previous one a GL3, which was 15 years old ended up in 3 pieces instead of 2. I was curious to how well the Pro 4X casts. If they were not going to replace it I was going to get the TFO TiCR X series. I need a rod that can punch out heavy flies with sinking line in the surf.
