I have tried croaker many times and they are good eating. Pretty similar to whiting taste wise.

To me the sign of a good fish is that you can can cook it any way you like and its good. Mahi is the best, particularly chicken size, and we've been lucky to fill up a lot of freezer fulls on the superfishal. I think Trout is overrated. Its fine fried but then again so is most anything. Smile

dont tell me that only a couple of us eat whiting! Its not my favorite, but it makes the menu when trout, reds, flounder, shark are unavailable
