Got a late start getting out there (7:00 PM), brought live shrimp and caught some pinfish in the surf before heading out to the jetties. COULDNT find a mullet to save my life. Some guys had a few oversized (not tagged) Redfish on a stringer. Turned my head. Caught several Bluefish, biggest a little over 20, on HUGE pinfish. Swore it was a huge trout while I was fighting it. caught a few small Jacks on live shrimp. Not the numbers I wanted but I cant complain. Looking forward to a certain Fish fry tomorrow night. Wink Wink

It sounds like you had a good outing. Do you guy's eat Blue Fish? I had my Grandson and his buddie, out last Saturday both 12 years of age on thier first offshore on Capt John Boat in Galveston. Those boy's caught a bunch of Blue Fish and we throwed them back, but for a few.
