Friend said he met a guy shooting guns, east side of night hawk sunday.
Shooting high powered rifles at 800 yrds, the guy said its state land and its ok. Seems strange to me, anybody ever hear this before?

I thought all that land was private property south of the water tower? Sounds a bit scary to be shooting 800 yards.

well one problem is that the roads are closed off with no trespassing signs clearly posted.

and 800yrds is pretty damn across the water, sounds like a recipe for an accident

Some of that is private land, but not too far south and it becomes National Seashore land, Federal land.. I dont think anywhere out there is the place to be shooting off rifles of that range.
