I learned to fish with my FIL in the early 70's.
He had a 16' Vannoy skiff w/ 115 hp Chrylser.Man I remember that boat, had cables for steering and had to be scarpped and painted every couple of years. We fishe dwith Curts worms you bought at Kroger on SPID...those were some good times!
Heres my boat today.......

Not sure I would head into CC Bay with it so I'm not sure its really a "bay" boat, but its definitely a laguna boat so I said yes Smile

My dirt cheap mitzi 15 after a *lot* of DIY work....

Oh yeah also serves as a canal taxi/dock hopper/crab pot runner when not hitting drum holes.....

I have a 21 Dargel Skout which I love. I upgraded from a 17' Skout. I am debating on something that might handle the chop a little better. I am also a really skinny water guy. I love the boat but Baffin trips can get pretty bumpy with a little wind. It would also be nice to hit some rigs not too far offshore or chase some poons on the beachfront.

Well according to the poll I am one of the few eventual owners. Just have no reason for one right now. I have access any time I want to way to many boats to fork out the money for my own

I have recently been blessed with a used but of course new to me Bigfoot fitted with a 225 Merc and I don't think I will own another. If you don't already know it's 23' deep V with a tunnel and holds 53 gallons of go juice and eats chop for breakfast with trim tabs down of course and gets up in a foot of wet stuff oh ya and if you so desire will cruise right across 8 inches of water too. I've had several others like, Bluewave, Triton, WeldCraft, Shallowsport, Shearwater and Majek and although they all have pros and cons I will probably not own another brand, but my try a HO someday. Gotta run Shiskabobs are done.
