|
|
Had a report that the spot was on, so with sleep generally over-rated I woke up around 0430, and stopped for the mando heart attack breakfast taco (Corrizzo, beans and bacon) and a coffee. Got to the spot, which the mosquitos had control over in the dark. Could hear bait and an occasional "trout slurp" just off the shoreline.
Morning view
First couple in the dark. Killer as the fish were all over a black and chartruese Skitterwalk Jr. You could hear the slurps, tail slaps, head shakes....just could not see them. Missed a bunch, lost a few.
Morning officially beginning
One of a few
Come see your little friend "Mr High Roller"
The round up
And the money shot
All in all a great way to start the day, a great sunrise and a topwater bite. |

I see the Sandpiper and Sea Gull condos in there but can't quite come up with a view I have seen from that angle leading me to deduce that your spot is on base _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |

| Nice stringer man, nothing like top waters in the dark, using your ears to fish. And man, that water looks great! |

Good report and catchy title. Y'all want some "touch"-"feely" posts, comments, crying, moaning, bitchin about "fishing spots"? Head on over to 2 Cool and you will find tons of crybaby threads about their most mundane and overwritten topic----"potlickers"!
I personally like the kinder, gentler, friendlier threads such as this site offers! _________________ Mike |

stay out of the general fishing forum and hit the TTMB forum, that's where the fun is....
either that or find your own spots to fish instead of searching the internet for them.

| I don't mean to stir the pot or cause a argument here but do people really think by telling a fellow fisherman where a good spot is that it is going to hurt the fishing for them. There are god knows how many fish out there. On the other hand I do understand that some people actually found these "spots" themselves. If I knew of a hot spot though I wouldn't have a problem giving it up. |

Hey....stir the pot. If you want some really silly responses head over to 2 Cool where they waste most of their fishing time bitchin n moaning about "potlickers". They probably figure that they are fishing spots that were undiscovered and "top-secret" over the last few decades or so!
I get a kick out of the so called fishing "reports" which turn to be glorified "bragging" blah, blah! I try to at least include tide phases, locations(if I had a gps I would put them in), time of day, bait used, etc. when I have something worth posting up.
But....the original poster was just trying to be humorous with this old thread as he is usually pretty concise and complete with his reports!
I will be at my honey hole at Port Bay in the AM and if I get unto them I will send the location and directions via TapTalk on my mobile Batphone! _________________ Mike |
