Here is the Rio Grande 15 mi. from casa.

A brown caught on spinner fly.

A small mouth from the Rio. Didn't know there were any in that part of the river. Caught 8 that day.

That night's sunset from my front porch.

Couldn't fish the laguna by I could Lagunitas lake at 11,200'. This is one of 24 trout C & R this day

Kokopelli took a hike with Mary but kept an eye on me.

This is the Rio just north of Taos. Never saw it so smooth and low. Very little snow run off this year.

1 of 6 browns C&R.

Another trip north of Taos. 4th of July and temp was 46 degrees. This balloon was one of 3 flying and actually having gondola touchdown in the river.

Some natural hot springs by the river. 1st is 102 degrees, other is about 90. Felt good to warm up.

On the way home saw this elk in velvet.

Rainbow caught at Moloya lake on NM/Colo border. C&R 6.

Hopewell lake at 10,200' That's me across lake with fish on. C&R 26 this day.

We were in an almost direct path to observe the super eclipse in May. This was from the front porch.

The sky after the eclipse.

And finally the sunset on our last night in NM.

Very nice pics, I remember taking day trips and camping in the mountains there as a kid growing up in NM.

The balloon and the eclipse are my favorite. A balloon floating by that's just plain cool.

Beautiful place Zia, just gorgeous. Such a nice break from south Texas summer. I can just imagine how calming it must be catching those trout and small mouths in such an aesthetically stunning place.

You had a serious fire in your backyard this summer. 356,000 acres. Had a few scares up our way this year but not like last year. Welcome to the board and give a shout when you get to CC
