|
|
Folks-
I was planning to take my nephew and dad on a guided fishing trip. We will be staying near Clements and Billings by the JFK causeway. I was wondering if anyone had some good recommendations on a guide operating out of these marinas. This is my first time so any help is appreciated. Thanks All. |

Capt Singleterry posts great reports. I have never been fishing with him, but I know from talking on this forum he is a great guy and an awesome guide.

We are blessed with a wealth of guides that have local knowledge of our waters. They have personal stories to share. Fishing tips to share. and.... _________________

| I would defintitly ask around more. Guides are pricey these days and u don't want To throw your money away. Some guides charge up to 700 for 3 people. In my experience at the dock or on the water, you want a guide who will be very informative and is there to TEACH you how to fish the area and the history and facts behind it all. Don't jst jump on the boat cuz the guys is a good fisherman. Some guides are just worried about fillin up the box and will try and catch 20 of YOUR 30 fish and want to be in before noon! Which isn't right because they are there for you! All I'm sayin is just because someone is a great fisherman doesn't make them a great guide. |

| Noe Garza is a great guide also. http://www.captnoegarza.com, but we do have plenty of guides might have to call around to find an opening. |

Oh, by the way Capt. Mike is a great guide. His knowledge of fishing is well...second to none. He is fun to be with and shares his knowlege. I'm the same way, I'm just not a guide ha ha. Cheers, IMS. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

Bill Sheka was definitely a unique experience and he put us on a limit with a 28" trout( two guys had very little experience) _________________ Take a kid fishing, best investment for them and our future of fishing. |

Well put. Mike is never one to hold back on teaching fishing technique and sharing local knowledge. One of the few fishermen I know that can see below the surface of the water just as well as above. Which is very frustrating to me. _________________
