I hate to post this here but this is a last resort. I just moved to Rockport last week and was supposed to have a job waiting on me but when I got here the job fell through (the company didn't get the bid on a job like they had thought). Anyway here I am jobless and in a bind. So if anyone is hiring or knows of someone who is I'd really appreciate a heads up. I'm a heavy equipment operator but willing to do anything at all for any amount of pay. I'm watching craigslist but no one answers the phone or calls back when I call about the jobs they have posted. Anyway sorry to post my problems here and ask for yalls help but I have no other options right now. Thanks

Check out Vestis or Vestus or Vestas...not sure of the spelling, but they're building the windfarms in Taft, and are always looking for someone to work.

That and all of the oil field companies are looking for folks to work.

Lots of people hiring drivers. Check out paper there was several oil field related jobs and I know a business owner in Alice and they are desperate to find people in oil field related jobs??

Not sure how it's spelled but Eagle Ford Shale would be something to check out. seems like Equipment operators would be a sure thing.

Not to mention all of the folks who support the oil business, Alice Texas comes to mind. Pretty much the entire town is somehow involved in Oil.
