Have found two old spinning reels Dad had stowed. They are Quick Super No. 270 C made by D A M of West Germany, probably circa late 1960's. Look to be in great shape. Will hold 350 yds of .016 diam line. Suitable for surf??
Would be gald to have any info on them! They were distributed by Bradlow inc out of California.

Dam reels are made for the surf. Those, as well as the older Penn 700z models and Mitchells are rock solid. I still fish with a Penn 705z and it will outlast any of todays technology.
