Finally got our schedules together and decided to head down the PINS Saturday afternoon with Neil and his friend Dustin who came in from SA. I have this rack and have not caught ONE shark, which is obviously not the racks fault. We hit the sand around 2pm and it looked like JP Luby with all of the cars. They finally started to clear around the 15 when the driving got bad. We hit it at high tide and it was terrible until the 30's where it got better. Pressed on down to the 50's and set up. Got some baits out at dusk and started dinner. One rod got broke off at the mainline somehow and our other rod went down as well leaving us just one 9/0. Wind was howling pretty good which made awesome sandburgers. Around 11:30 pm the 9/0 came alive. Ended up with an estimated 6' Bull. I didnt bring the tape because I did not want to jinx the trip. Neil lost a huge ray right in the wade gut that would have made some good bait. Woke up in the morning to beautiful conditions (because we had to leave) and bagged a few redfish and whiting. Seaweed was bothersome as it was coming in as clumps, not the mats. It was fishable, just bothersome. Can't wait to get back out.
