| Yeah Johnny, the first thing I did was call Dr. John but he just started a 12 hr. shift in Calallen. He suggested Dr. Van Burkleo here in the Bluff. They opened at 9 and I was out by 9:45. It was deep and a bad angle. He had to do a little cutting and one suture but all is good. |

And a quick look at the scores....9.5, 8.5, 9.5, 9.5. Nice. It will feel better when it quits hurting. _________________ I LIKE MINE FRIED. |

| Well grabbed some spinning gear this evening (little painful to grab a baitcaster) and went out for revenge but only had a few blow ups. My buddy got cut off on a king that went airborn on his topwater. I plan on trying in the morning. Seems the bite is much better early. If anybody sees a lifted grey 4 door jeep and a guy wearing a rubber glove on his left hand stop by and say hi. |

| What kind of antibiotics do they have you on?? I suppose they gave you a tetanus shot too. I keep a large 16 gauge needle for removal of hooks like that. There is a video somewhere on the net that everyone should watch. the needle is slid in right along the curve of the hook and then the hole in the needle is slid over the barb of the hook. Once the barb is covered the hook just slides right out. They call it the "NEEDLE COVER METHOD" - it works like a charm. Then of course you have to go see the doctor for some antibiotics to keep the finger from falling off. GOOD LUCK ON THE RECOVERY - anytime they cut into fingers, tendons, nerves and feeling can be involved. |

| Yeah I have a needle just for that but the depth and angle was not going to allow it. The Dr. said the only option was a cutting, but after taking the dressing off it it's not bad at all. I did get a tetanus shot. The most painful part of the whole ordeal was the shots to numb it and the tetanus shot. It's a little stiff but I am typing with it and no pain at all. I fished this morning and the trout where not there like yesterday. I talked to a couple of pepople who limited yesterday morning and they said the same. |

good call on the tetnus, I like augmentin as an antibiotic for any punctures or sting ray hits has good gm+ and anaerobic coverage _________________ You should have been here yesterday, they were tearin' 'em up. |

| Augmentin would be great Except that I am allergic to Pennicillin and won't use the Ampicillin derivitives except in a dire emergency. One of the Flouroquinilones, probably Cipro would be my choice. |
