...All Out War!

Not sure what they are and i cant get a photo without getting stung/bit...they look like small black bees and they hover around the ground and burrow tiny little holes...i have a ton of them gathered together..they seem to get angry when i attack them with water (its been a long battle) ....im very close to just putting superglue on there homes ...very..close...

lol....

No clue what they could be but a soapy solution in a sprayer works good with killing most bees without any harsh chemicals.

Most ground-nesting bees like miner and ground bees are not agressive and rarely sting. Unlike ground-nesting wasps (true yellowjackets) and bumblebees, these bees don't associate in colonies, but dig individual nest holes. With the massive decline of the honeybee, the ground-nesting bees are becoming very important as crop pollinators, so if you can learn to co-exist with them it will be doing the gardeners and farmers a big favor. In a short while, they'll bring off a brood and move on. If you don't want them to return, cover bare soil areas with mulch.

Weve tried...soap water, poison grain, poison powder, and spraying...seems like anytime i spray anythign on them more show up.... its not in a garden or anything just in a 15'x15' area and all the little holes the lot of them make is killing the grass

I get stung about 70% of the time when i head outside around 7 times a day...someone left my truck cracked open one day and when i got in at night all hell broke loose halfway down the street ...

here are the culprits on a piece of newspaper

Maybe it is the "salmon shirt" Laughing
sure looks like a little honey bee....but I am no icthy, ento, biologist, or ologist of any kind.

Soapy water...should take care of the problem pretty quick...or a pear burner...that would be more fun...but I am sure that could get out of hand quickly. DIESEL..and a match...sounds good too!

I'm sticking with" solitary wasps "until someone comes up with something else.

Hey Tennis, I cannot tell from the photos - does that critter have 1 pair of wings, or 2?

It's a bee. Contact the county ag extension folks, http://nueces.agrilife.org/, for ID and control.
