nice fish, doesn't look like 37" though? Looks more like 30. Go to shark baits last post and look at his cobia (<37") and then come back and look at this trout. |

Look at the guys left hand, the one under the belly. I measured mine and it's about 4" wide. His hand is the same distance from the lens as the fish, so it's makes an accurate scale to use in measuring. I came out with 37.7" using this method, so although not totally accurate, it looks to me like that fish is darn close to 37"!!!! _________________ Dave

if that trout is a sure 37" fish im sure the fella that cought it would go weigh it on a certified scale and let the officials see it in person. why bother posting if not real. the fella in mathis lake that had the huge gar but failed to go to certified scale or a place to check out if it was a record did the same thing. a shame realy to harvist a wonderful fish and keep it in suspence or not know for sure. |

So did he cut a hole in the belly to hide his fingers? I usually do that when I take a picture of a fish. Oh the sarcasm
I think it is photoshopped _________________ May God Bless Us All |

With it being gutted and gilled (presumably, based on the angle of the head and his left hand in the belly cavity - plus the anal fin got cut off in the process ??? ), it really does not matter if it is real or not, as the record is determined by weight and a good amount of this fish's weight has been cast off to Dave Jones Locker.
I'm leaning towards the "nice fish, but I need more definitive proof to say its a 37" trout". |

Looks like one of those classic Baffin Gals with very few spots and those at the top near the tail. None of the "state record" or 37" trout pics have panned out in the last few years except for Bud Rowland's so I am going to say "nice fish" whatever size. _________________ Like Corpusfishing.com on Facebook! |
