Hi everyone new to this site stumbled on it over the weekend. Really like all the info everyone posted here. I live a little north of Austin so I only make it down bout 4-5 times a year. So i have to live vicariously through ya'll until I get down there.
Im coming down Wed with my son and stepdad to fish with a guide in CC Thur. I normally bring the boat and try to get in an extra day while Im down there but it didnt make it out of the shop in time. So we will be landlocked on Wed so was thinking bout hitting a peir, packery channel or someplace thats a fairly easy wade. Ive fishing deadmans before but thats really only wade spot I know. Will most likely get a few croakers and some shrimp. More than anything a place to wet a line with my son. Does anyone have any recommendation on which option would be better.
Thanks in advance Smile

Caught a few nice fish behind the church on 361 using live shrimp free lined. The bite was right at dark. Even on windy days its not too bad there

I fish around home some. Haven't this year due to not getting the boat running sooner. I save most of my time to head to the coast as I can during the summer. Do you fish up here as well? Where do go? My hunting partner caught several double digit bass at austin this spring.
