I have done very well on piggies, croaker and artificials. It's tough for someone to go out and come back empty handed. Look at it in a fishing guide perspective. Make your clients happy and its a really tough job. It has gotten so expensive to buy bait, fuel and boats these days. I really appreciate all these post. Very funny, informative and educational but I sometimes wonder if some should be on the Jerry Springer Show. Thanks Capt. Mike, your a really great guy.

Did very well this afternoon using Captain Mike's suggestions.... Largest Trout 24" on shrimp under a popping cork around the boat hole and found the reds on free lined croaker in the backyard... Caught most fish between 4pm and 5pm.

THANKS CAPT MIKE!!!!

Very Happy The force is strong in Capt. Mike. Stan croaker, Stan croaker ,put the artificals away. I don't know how much longer I can fight it.

Its OK Stan, you will not lose man credits. In fact increasing your productivity has always been rewarded in most civilized societies. I have caught my share of fish with lures and still do during the winter but if croaker are available WHY NOT?

Because anyone can go out in the Laguna and catch fish on croaker.

BULL SH!!!!!!!!T!!!!!!!! This guide came on here and is tyring to help out fellow fishermen for free more than we can say for you all you want to do is talk crap!!!!!

You said (Tricking fish into biting a piece of plastic takes more skill that achoring up and using croaker)
I'LL PROMISE YOU IT TAKES MORE SKILL THAN YOU HAVE TO MAKE A LIVING AS A GUIDE LIKE MIKE DOES. So stop acting like a know it all till you make a living at a very very hard job.

Thanks for the free info Mike I know i can use any help i can get.
most every one appreciates your help But some on here could give you some pointers on how to run your business better than you know how to. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS AGAIN Mike

I'm not about that... Tricking fish into biting a piece of plastic takes more skill that achoring up and using croaker, you can't deny that.

All these fish were caught on lures within the past year with my old man. Ya'll keep soaking bait and I'll keep throwing plastic.

I see a bunch of dinks, where are these fish you speak of?

Looks like one of my better weekends....On a serious note good for you and especially doing it with your pops. I do lures as well and enjoy it. The only thing in life that really bothers me anymore though is one fisherman trying to impose his style on another. We gotta stick together and support one another. You do lures, Mike does crack and lures and I do crack and lures as well.

Thanks. And you're right about sticking together... I'm just trying to get y'all to loosen up a little bit hahahaha.

On another note, I'm more of a meth kinda guy, but hey that's just me.

it's getting time for all of us to get together for a brew. There may be a little fuss on here but that all changes over a cool one. Very Happy Fishing is fishing and I have been fishing for 45 years . I have fished as a sportsman i have also commercial fished I have probably forgotten enough to write a book. It's all good whether you use bait or lures. I have no problem fishing with bait it's just easier and less mess for me to use artificals nowadays. I can just get a go. However when I have guest from out of town that don't fish all the time I will get live shrimp for them. There is nothing to fuss over. Be excellant to each other. Well almost everyone. Wink

Are you going to start doing your weekly fishing report this Thursday? I know I can't wait to see what kind of information you have to offer. I really could use some information from your past years experience you have to share. It seems there are still a few guys that might need a little help catching fish in the brown tide....Oh, I not trying to get you to loosen up a bit....ha....ha....ha
I for one just can't wait.

Mike
