| How is water to wade in front of Bird Island and or past the church by packery? Want to get some wade fishing in tonight with some croaker but have not been out in last three weeks. Any suggestions. |

| Did a wade south of the sailboard park at BIB on Saturday, for not much. Caught one drum, but was on the trout hunt. Water was off color, though plenty of bait in the water.... |

| Ended up north of church by packery and on the flat right before dark several large schools of drum moved in. Never fished there so did not know that shallow flat was there but had some backup shrimp and caught two big drum and then reds moved in and caught two reds |

This is kinda confirming my thoughts that the fish are moving into the gulf during the day and hitting the flats during the night. Could be why fishing has been poor lately during the day. Those big schools of drum are fun! |

| I was there for trout and to learn some new ground. Ready to make it back and be prepared to sack up on some reds and drum to keep next time. Will bring a better clip on light, did not realize how far I waded from where I parked and was funny that I kept thinking "damn someone stole my truck"! |

I'm not sure I follow your logic. Because the bite turned on at Packery right at dark, that implies the fish were in the Gulf all day? The bite turns on all over the bay right before dark. Doesn't mean the fish haven't been there the whole time. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

sucks when you are on a school of fish and no matter what you throw at them, they hit and spit, or look at you like are you crazy, i am still full of fish in my belly. get that away from me.. ..
they be there, just not likeing what we are presenting or how we are.. that is why it is called fishing.. _________________ Fish and Hunt Baby.... so tight lines and clear scopes. |
