Finally got on the water. Wanted to go friday but the wind was just too much. Saturday the wind was a tad better but after my experience a couple years ago with the crowds at PINS and getting towed by the now out of business crook I leave Saturday of the Memorial day weekend to the masses.

What has happened to the water? Yuk it is brown and doesn't seem any better than a couple weeks ago. Ran way south again and got into some decent water and a decent bite. Moved back north and fished some of the brown stuff and got on another good bite. I think this brown tide stuff is here for a long while. The slightly good news is other than visibility you can catch fish.

Nice box. How far south did you go to find better water?

Rocky Slough is where we caught , and we were using evil croakers. Going back the water north of baffin seems to be where it is worse. We fished some good water just south of baffin (Meadows and yarbourgh) that looked good just beat up. Biggest was 24 and he wasn't going to it so we kept it. I released a 26 or so. They just don't fry up so good.
