At 8.8 - 8.9lbs, Manuel Briceno of Vero Beach, FL had an extra fat Pompano sitting on the beach late last April. His bait of choice was Orange Fishbites Fish'n Strips.

I'm glad our beloved South Texas hippie isn't all weepy-eyed about eating a great fish. We've got better hippies. Very Happy

I killed the pomps at BHP today...live shrimp under a popping cork.

I got a picture of one I caught in rockport that was close to that big....
I had no idea of how big it actually was. lol

Not only did he not officialy weigh it, but mustad hooks has million dollar contest if you catch a record fish ,And its free to sigh up. Great story though.
