I was on the South Packery jetty one day with my big rods out in the channel. This dildo comes motoring right up to the rocks trying to net mullet, snags one of my lines. I cussed him and asked him what the hell he thought he was doing. "Trying to get some bait" he answered. I let him know he was an incosiderate bastidge. I invited him up onto the rocks but he declined. He was sure surprised when I hit him in the side of the head with a ten inch horse mullet from my bucket. That was all the bait he needed. He gave me a friendly jesture , just to thank me for the bait I suppose and he was on his way. I'll do anything to help a fellow out. Heh Heh heh. _________________ "Charlie Don't Surf" |

Be careful with stuff like that Big Jack. Cussing can get your point across fine, hitting somebody with any object can be assault. Would you have thought it was funny if that guy was nuts, and pulled a pistol out of his storage box? Think about the repurcussions of your actions... |

Yeah I know. But it was either plaster him with the bean burrito I had or the mullet. I had one burrito and 5 mullet, easy choice. He's was a wimp anyhow. and he did keep the mullet. That would have been a helluva shoot out though. _________________ "Charlie Don't Surf" |

People that over react to alleged infractions on the water are just as annoying. I've had aholes yell and wave their arms at me when I could barely see them out on the Laguna on the other side of their drift??
Some of them get twisted when they think you get too close on the intracoastal. Its a freakin high speed path for cryin out loud. Large ocean going boats should slow down if they throw up a big wake. But the rest of us should forget about it...... |

Next time that happens just put your reel in free spool.... If he get into a big reel 4/0 or better he'll have 400+ yards of line in the prop....
Just a thought..... _________________ It's all about the family..... |

I have a 23 ft Sport Craft Cuddy Cabin and if I get anywhere near yaks, people, no wake zones, etc. I slow down. Remember if it was you in the yak or in a really small boat you wouldn't want someone making your trip hell every 20 minutes. It is so freakin simple. Wait until you are away from everything or everyone then open the boat up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! _________________ Fish till I die |

| hey hate to break the news to yall but anyone can put up a "NO WAKE" sign, and they dont mean a thing at all. You can make as big a wake you want but you ARE responsible for your wake and any damage it creates. |

Gary that is a great idea. you think 400 yds of 30 lb test would bind his prop good enough, maybe even shear a pin, hopefully. _________________ "Charlie Don't Surf" |

If certain of the posters on this thread were practicing what they preached, many would be injured or dead and the rest would be fined or imprisoned.
It is illegal to interfere with lawful fishing activities.
Boaters are responsible all times for their wakes.
It is unlawful to block a navigable channel.
Except in self defense, the use of any object or instrument other than your body to harm intentionally the person or property of another is either aggravated assault or aggravated criminal mischief.
If you're thinking of committing any of these crimes, don't. If you see these crimes committed, don't take the law into your own hands; report them to the TPWD, Coast Guard, and/or police or sheriff's department immediately. Take pictures, not revenge. _________________ The Trash Heap Has Spoken!
