Heading to Riviera Thursday for an annual trip with friends and wondering if I still need the waders or not? I see as typical when I get to make a rare trip these days the wind is going to blow too!

Water feels good, although 2 weeks ago under cloudy skies, it was windy so..I put on my backup 9.00 plastic ones in the boat and left mt neoprenes at home... used the plastic for the am ride to our spot and half a day wading then it got warmer.... FYI,,

I always bring something just in case...

Water is in the upper 70's right now starting around 73 74 in the mornings plenty warm but the wind might make it chilly for yall, i would avoid any chance of being cold and take light waders

Ditto on that AT, the water is warm but that wind makes it cold in the mornings & nights.

No waders unless you are going to fish after dark.

I have been catching a lot of stingrays recently. In any water, I still wear stingray-proof boots (I know a guy who did the "stingray shuffle" and ended up passing out with a barb through his foot!). I always wear waders when the jellyfish are thick like Capt. Singleterry said. It may be extra work to prepare, but why risk a painful injury?
