What else can be caught on the pier?? Like I said, I've never fished there before and I'll be in the area of Aransas Pass for 2 months. Would again appreciate any info you can give me. |
Just got an update from a freind that was there today.
They have seen Jacks, Big Spanish, a cobia and thaught they seen a King and the Sheepheads are there in full affect with live shrimp and have been for a while now.
If you're out Sunday look me up I'll be on the tee head unless I get called in. |

| we will be coming down in may and bob hall is where we always go. i kow that last summer we still paid the senior rate of 1 dollar and it never has cost us more than 7 dollars for the 2 of us. we enjoy the pier very much. planning on bringing family with us this yr and monthly trips. our pier in galveston has finally rebuilt enough since hurricane ike destroyed it to reopen. i heard from other fishermen that the pier at 61st in galveston was charging spring breakers 15 dollars a head. they dont charge for poles at either pier and you can bring up to 3 at galveston fishing. pier. yall are so lucky that your county is in charge of the fees and they make it available to all to use. cant wait til may to come down. with any luck i will find a house that i want to buy so we can move there this yr. |

Surf shows to be nice, but depends on the water clarity.
If the bait fish show up there should be some Jacks and Kings .The water temp. is about right we just need the bait to show up and the pier should get hot. |
Do you know if Jacks/Kings prefer to hit live bait or artificial? I'm about to try it out. _________________ -L |
