I've never fished Bob Hall Pier and was wondering what it costs to fish there. Is it part of the national park? Saw it on Google today and it looks like it just might be a good place to fish. Can anyone help with an answer?

senior rate is a dollar. when hubby and i go it has never cost us more than 7 dollars. now in galveston all the piers cost 10 dollars or more for 24 hours. even the city owned pier on pelican island at sea wolf park is the same. those piers in galveston are privately owned. with th4e cost of gas now we have to go to galveston and only visit corpus once a month. we live an hour from galveston compared to almost 5 hours to corpus

They also offer a season pass for $399.00 But you'd need to fish alot to justify this. They also have a senior rate which I think is half .

I fish there alot and when the water is good it is a good place to catch some nice fish.

i have my $50 dollar walk on pass... just have to pay for the rods i bring....i have saved way more than $50 bucks....usually cost me $4 to fish for kings

think of the cost of taking a boat out fishing for kings its not cheap...bob hall puts anglers with in hooking distance of huge fish for relatively cheap

for those coming to fish Bob hall from out of town they have a 72hour pass to get on the pier for $12 probably have to pay for rods separately though....

Good information to know...I'm still going to take you up on showing me the ropes on king fishing SB since I don't have the heavy duty tackle.

Poor He who shall not be mentioned has had hard luck with kings last year. I was lucky enough to get 50+ kings on bob hall last season. Going to try to surpass that this year. If the water is right. The "King Addicts" will be there.

I got my walk on pass for 25 B/C they offer it for half price for military. Another good use for that pass is the fish cleaning stations. My neighbors tend to ask questions when i clean my fish and toss the carcasses.... usually a day or 2 later the coyotes are out in mass making all sorts of noise.

I do feel like a bit of a rockstar when hit the pier to clean fish with king & ling tails hanging out of my cooler after a successful day at the rigs....

I thought it was two dollars a person and one dollar a rod. Did they increase price of rod usage?

Shocked Man you guys are lucky, over at Port Isabel we have to pay $8.00 per rod and $2 if you are just there to watch.
I pay $40.00 to take the wife and my 3 kids fishing with one rod each.

Fish2drink, it's gotten quite pricey to fish at Pirates Landing Pier but you can save a few bucks if you purchase a "fish card". It's $50 plus tax but you can go in ten times without paying. They will just punch in your card every time you go.

Surf shows to be nice, but depends on the water clarity.
If the bait fish show up there should be some Jacks and Kings .The water temp. is about right we just need the bait to show up and the pier should get hot.

The prise increased sometime last season.
It's $2.00 a person and $2.00 a rod with a 4 rod max.

I'd like to thank all of you who responded with answers to my question. Now I will go to Bob Hall Pier and won't get "sticker shock" when asked to pay. Plus, I'll know to bring some heavy equipment for a possible King Mackerel!!
What else can be caught on the pier?? Like I said, I've never fished there before and I'll be in the area of Aransas Pass for 2 months. Would again appreciate any info you can give me.
