Looks like the drought is going to cancel this year's white bass run on the Nueces River. Drove up last Friday to the 59 bridge and the water is too low to launch a boat. looks to be at least 15 feet lower than it was last year. River level is right at the end of the concrete ramp. Spoke with some folks on the bank and they reported a few white bass are making it up the river but you cant get to them by boat. only a few folks using kayaks and canoes.

My parents canal on cc lake is dried up too. Sucks because the spring crappie bite is great in there. Doubt the water will be back by then.  _________________ -Mando |

If you can get on the river anywhere near Georgewest, I know they have been getting on the white bass run pretty good in the evenings. _________________ Fish On! |
