The following article is interesting. No mention is made about the damage that ethanol causes to fuel lines. I'm going to keep using non-ethanol gas as long as I can.

I will still use the E-Zero in both my older (mid 60's) and newer mid 90's engines as well as in my rototiller and mower/trimmers. I guess I am too hard to re-train.

My boat has been sitting during hunting season so today I went and cranked it up and let it run for a while and I had to dump the bowl of the water/fuel separator twice in about 10 to 15 mins of running.

Best practice is to keep your tank full according to that article and I believe in that.

I'm just curious on this folks...Has anyone actually had the gas @ Rudy's checked for Non-Ethanol ? The reason I'm asking is we can no longer find any stations here in D/FW that are truly Ethanol free...The reason ? It's State Law, now...all our gas is supposed to have that garbage added.

I haven't verified this link, but it gives quite a few stations across the state that sell ethanol free gas.

wow cool pic Yakmon

the way i understand it is the government pays many farmers to grow corn(non edible by humans) for livestock mostly, though cows fed with it will die within a year. so they excess amount of corn that the government has paid for is being put into our gas.....correct me if im wrong

I'm not sure about that. Still several gas stations throughout the state selling ethanol free gas.

I am having doubts about it to. Unless they transport their own fuel, I don't think there is anyway around it.
In any event, I'll declare that gas is crapp. It caused horrible pinging in the truck with significant loss of power. Can't hear pinging to well on an outboard but the power loss was noticeable. Topped both off with Super which helped. But I haven't been back. Don't seem to have that issue with Exxon gas.

He who shall not be mentioned, the reason they die after eating the corn is because of a trip to a slaughterhouse. most corn fed to cattle is done at feedlots where yearlings are fed a heavy grain diet to fatten them with the most fat marbleing possible. that's why choice steaks taste so good.
what you have probably heard is a reference to the aflatoxin fungus.
there are strict guidlines as to amts allowable for human and animal consumtion. for example, dairy cattle have a separate amt concidered safe. even deer corn must pass certain limits which I think is the same amt as general livestock limits. same with pet food.

I preformed a non-scientific test using HEB gas, then Rudy's gas. 4 tanks each on my 2007 Toyota Tundra. Mostly long commutes from FB to downtown CC.

HEB 17.4 MPG
Rudys 19.0 MPG

That is a 9.2% increase. With that said, Rudy's price was a tick higher, but not 9.2% higher.
