|
|
| Hey y'all,, may have my brother coming up this weekend to hit the jetties in Port-A. Anyone know if the red bite is still in full effect? I've heard decent reports over the past few weeks, and thought these couple of fronts might start really pushing them out. |

They are still there.... Must have seen at least 50 bulls taken off the South Jetty Sunday. We caught and released around 30 ourselves... Mullet was a little hard to come by, so you better bring some just in case. _________________ "Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught." |

| Supposed to be another front coming in a couple days. I would think you should be in relatively good shape. |

Thanks guys!!!
I thought they'd still be gettin after it, and I really appreciate the confirmation! We're goin 4-sure on Saturday, and I'll get a report out after we're done. Hopefully, we'll do some damage!! |

Red tide is still at Port A jetties and HC pier. The last few days when the SE wind was blowing, it blew the aerosols onshore. It's bad at the beach but gets better as you go further out. It was ok after about 50 yds on the jetty and pier. Water was off color - greenish brown. Bull reds were plentiful. Hold on to your rods. Saw a few broken and a couple lost. Saw a herd of 40-50 strong cruising the pier yesterday. Not much else were biting except some smacks. Best bait - cut bait. Shad, croaker, whiting, perch. We even hooked a couple on spoons.
Saw a red snapper caught at the south jetty.
Saturday should be nice weather.
Good luck! _________________ Cudakilla.com

| Sounds great! I'm really hoping this next cool snap will put a damper on the red-tide. I'm not sure if it will clear out too much in just a couple days, but it's worth a shot. Thanks for the report! |
