Got a real late start this AM. My wife's friend came over so the two of them could have a day of pampering and they didn't leave until 10:30. Immediately hit the water and headed for where I caught the trout yesterday. Six boats in the area. That is why I normally do not fish weekends. Made a couple short drifts there and picked up a 19" trout. Left for areas closer to Pita. Bite wasn't anything like it was yesterday, but ratio of dinks to keepers was still about 5/1. Picked up a couple more keeper trout there; a 16 and another 19". Had work to do around the casa so went home around 12:15.
Today I caught most of my fish on white soft plastics whereas yesterday they were caught on tequila. |
