Found a legal way to register the boat trailer. Still could not register in Nueces County, they still insisted I had to go to court. But it is registered and I'm street legal again. Still had to jump through unnecessary hoops, but at least its registered and I didn't have to spend hundreds of dollars to prove a 37 year old trailer is mine.

Would you be so kind as to post up your process. There are a few of us who have been interested. My father is going to give me his trailer that was not and has never been registered to my knowledge. He's just always had it.

This is an easy one. IT WAS HOME MADE!!! Never been registered before. I built it in my drive way. It will carry X amount of eight. yada yada yada. Go register it...LL....Adios

Skipper, I wish it was that easy, believe me.

CCPD will not longer do that unless it is obviously homemade. And this trailer was obviously not homemade. That is part of the problem; they use to do that no questions asked but they got busted.
