Had the intention of throwing a line in today but decided to enjoy the view and absorb some sun and fun! Headed to the Packery channel at noon and easily counted 10 nice Reds caught from different anlers with one oversized one, they were hitting finger mullet on the North side of the channel. I had the oppurtunity to meet some really nice folks and shared some good tips!

JFK

Someone forgot to take their camp tent frame home, looked like it had been there for days, SAD!

I wonder what the weekend will look like?

Thanks for report and nice pix. Talked to a TP&W worker today and nothing caught in the surf nor jetties as of noon or so.

I fished SBH and just as the tide started coming in the storm hit. Winds went from nothing to gale force in seconds. Big line of rain from the Bob Hall area across the ULM to the bluff landing section of the bluff.

Caught nothing but big blues and skippies. Was expecting the reds to come in with the tides but storm put an end to my fishing.

I may have to squeeze in there sometime to get a buddy on some red fish.

Hate to see that tent frame left out there,

Yeah. real bummer on the littered tent frame.. Wait a minute! That's SurfDragon's secret spot!! And I distinctively remember scrolling through pages of exhaustingly, uninteresting photos from our very own SurfDragon about two weeks ago.. And Hmmm.. if we just scroll back and look, is that the SAME tent frame that he and his buddies were seen eating Whataburger wrappers under? Ouch.. Not cool. One picture is worth a thousand words.. And SurfDragon, thanks for those thousands of incriminating pictures.. Maybe the tent frame was left to mark his spot.. Like GPS.

Made the trip down with 3 others last Friday and had live mullet, cut skipjack, dead mullet in the water from 7:00pm Friday until 10:00 am Saturday without a single bite, headed to the surf south of Bob Hall and had bait in the water from about 11:00am until 6:00pm and still to action. This had to be the best fishing, and worst catching trip I've had in a long time, the weather was beautiful hope to be back late Oct. I'll give everyone a warning before I head down next time so you can make other plans than fishing.

Wow. Disappointed with the warning from Tyler, have lots of respect for him and thought he would enjoy my posts.. Someone who goes through hundreds of posts every day, I thought, would enjoy something a little different.. C'mon He who shall not be mentioned "LOL"ed. Nobody takes my sarcasm here.. As for SurfDragon, Of course thats not your tent, you goof. I have no clue who you are, what you drive.. I have never fished in that Packery spot in my life.. Lived here 28 years.. Why? Because i prefer to fish away from people, and I'm just giving SurfDragon a hard time. Many people feel the same way. Is that against the Law? My hope is, like SurfDragon, that someone out there gets something out of my post. Everybody against me

Beautiful thing about internet forums, even with all the little emoticons words that appear in a post/response can be taken out of context so easily.

From what I have seen around the "Net" all it takes is a word or two out of place and the comment directed toward the wrong person. It happens everywhere and usually it is over something that if it had been said in a face to face situatipon, would have been laughed about by all parties.

Not a lot of heart or soul can be shown on a computer screen.
