Got to my spot at my favorite time of the day.
Tails were not common today - but the reds were there and just being elusive - not making wakes, moving super slow or staying put. A few were hiding a bit too shallow.....
Finished with 4 reds - missed countless others as they were very skittish. Lots of drum out too, shrimp would probably have gotten them. All fish were in less than 8 inches water. All fish were lower slot size, but I did see some brutes cruising by that didn't take a hook. Nobody schooling though...hoping they will start to aggregate soon.

for some reason I'm feeling charitable today and will give you a priceless tip for free:
next time you're in that situation, throw your lure ON THE BANK and then drag it into the water slowly.
you're welcome. and now you owe the folks here something you've learned.

| 10-4 porky thats exactly how i got that one. When they are up on the bank like that its actually easier then when they are in open water - doesn't make a splash. |

Holding the red and having toes curled looked like you were afraid it was going to bite your toes. Reverse Babinski reflex.
Was thinking about driving out there tomorrow and trying to land some on flies. Quite a wade over to that bank though. |
