Caught three trout all over 17in on channel side using a lemon rig and live mullet. Caught them between 10-11am. Should be good fishing for the rest of the week. Had a break off not sure what it was.

I Was at NPJ this morning and only caught one small trout on soft plastics. Went out on surf and fished the first gut with a skitter walk and caught 6 nice trout. They were slamming them good. Cool

Quick question. Are the surf specks soo fat because there mostly feeding on mullet? I have never seen shrimp in the surf like I have in the bays besides the ghost shrimp. Awesome report!

Majority of the trout in the 17-20in trout I've caught using mullet at N. Packery are fat. Although, i've had great success catching some fat trout south of BIB using SK Shadalicious 4.5" neon ghost minnow slow retrieve.
