Very sad, I knew Michael as a friend and fellow fishing guide. He was a very nice person, someone that you could depend on. Not many of those people still around.
He will be missed around Clem's.

| I am Captain Michael Angell's oldest daughter and I would like to thank everyone for their support during our time of loss. If anyone knew my Dad, they would know that he had a great love for fishing and loved to share the experience with anyone. For those that have fished with him, thank you for sharing that time. He cherished all the time he had with old and new friends. |

He put me on my first keeper red, which turned into my first limit as well. We started the morning catching trout in Baffin and the rest of the day in 9 Mile chasing reds. That was also where I saw my first tailing red. He fished us for 14 hours and he was having the same fun we were. He was fun to be around and will be missed. RIP Capt. My condolences go out to the family of Mr. Angell. I was a client of his last year on a fishing trip with my two sons. Mr. Angell could not have done a better job. Again, my thoughts and prayers for the family. Unfortunately, I booked another trip with my boys to fish with him again on July 12, 2011. I drove down from Austin, TX and only to find out Mr. Angell passed away when I arrived at Clem's Marina at 6:30 am the day of fishing. No one affiliated with Mr. Angell called to advise me of the news before I drove down to Corpus. If this would have happened I would have had time to book another trip with another guide. I am looking for any help as to how to get in contact with someone from his family or his fiancee to advise me how to get my money back. I left my name and number at Clems and have not heard anything as of yet. I'm sure I'm not the only client that this has happened to. I would really appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thank you so much. Blake _________________ Blake |

Hey Blake, I thought I might let you know how the the information about Michaels death reached the people at Clem's and the other guides. I'm sure no one called you the morning you were to have fished with him because the information didn't reach Clem's until around 5:30a the morning you were to have fished with him. No one at Clem's knew who he was to have fished with or how to get in touch with you or anyone else.
Understand that each guide is a independent business person, the marina's we work out of has no idea who we fish with or in your case how to contact anyone.
As far as a refund for the fishing trip you paid for or put down a deposit for.
You might contact Michaels telephone number, email address or write a certified letter. I'm sure you will receive a reply.
I understand Michael had a couple of daughters and I'll bet ya they're trying real hard to tie up loose ends and make things right.
BTW there are still alot of loose ends at Clem's that need to be address also that haven't been addresses yet, but I understand they will be.
