Scented soft plastic on a heavy jighead or loud popping cork. dark color if its churned up. Or the loudest sounding topwater you can find Very Happy

The Allure:

The allure of waiting to fish till the wind dies down.

Seriously. On the jetties, I prefer rattle traps in the channel since they are easy to cast and hold their action well even in rough conditions.

million dollar question right now, based on the responses of others it sounds as though the same things that work in non-windy conditions get the job done and that's my .02

I like the 4.5" Reaction Strike Jerk, Jr. on a 1/4 oz. short-shank jighead. Murky water is usually a factor when fishing in high winds, so I like to match the color of the water the best I can. The Holo Pink color (my favorite) and the natural shrimp color are both pretty good matches for our water color when fishing wind. If I don't get any hits after the first few casts, I'll stick a small rattle into the bait (right behind the hook). you can see all the colors of the bait at this site, and find what's best for you! Cool

Good luck,

JB
