Yesterday I was talking with a few fishing buds and we were discussing lures. i said that I made some with dowels etc, and thought it would be neat to see what others might have come up with. If anyone has pix of lures they've made it would be fun to see them.

Here are a couple of mine that I've caught trout on.

One you made from a toothbrush a few yrs back.


My S.I.L. made this one for me on a lathe from a piece of pecan wood. has a rattle in it to. So far have only caught a skipjack on it. Dont use it much.

Another angle.

He has some this some design only airbrushed different colors, work grerat!

Haven't done it in a while but here are some that I have made. As I got better at it I was able to add glass rattles and counter weights to make them do different stuff.

I made this one and got a Payara fishing in Lake Guri, Venezuela. I used to make quite a few Big O type lures out of Balsa that I used for bass fishing in the 70's when I was a kid.
