fished with Capt. Nate Middleton yesterday and the day before. We were on the hunt for big trout after the freezing temps. christmas night. I rushed back from Houston in time to hit the water about 1300. First fish of the day (12/26) went 24 inches and over four lbs. This was one of the fattest trout I've ever seen. We continued to catch close to fifty trout between us, most being around 16-17 inches but several over twenty. The next moring we hit it at 0600. Tried wading in the morning but didn't get any bites. When the wind picked up we tried drifting a few holes and proceeded to pick up 100 small trout, all between 7 and 16 inches. No big ones, but my wrist is sore this morning so you know that's a good sign. Thanks again to Capt. Nate for another great fishing experience. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |

We didn't fish that far north. Everything was from Emmords, south. There was a lot of boat traffic, though, with more than ten boats along the shoreline up near pure oil and pita. _________________ "Ya'll must eat a lot of fish" |
