The article said there were 5 tarpon killed Jan 2010. I thought all tarpon migrated out of TX for the winter?

Most do but sometimes the younger fish will stick around in the bay/intercoastal systems as a nursery.

Also thanks for the article Mike!

In all species that migrate there are always stragglers or those who just don't leave or don't go far enough. They don't usually get to pass on any genes!!!! Shocked

hundreds of birds diving everywhere just south of the causeway, from a little west of the intracoastal almost to the bluff shoreline, concentrated near humble. Anybody else see this. I was driving so I couldn't stare but my first thought was fish kill.

Ya, they were doing that last weekend when I was on the water over on the KRS and near the Bluffs Landing Cut. They were diving on almost dead/stunned perch. Didnt see anything larger than about a 8in Mullett dead though.

Had to laugh. So, what do we say now, Dave - there's only ONE cure for stupid? I kinda like that.

We haven't gotten any reports of kills in Nueces bay. Took a drive around C.C.B. today and only saw dead fish (mullet) in bahia marina in Ingleside. Jason Slocum

Went down PINS to the 15 today. Saw a dozen dead trout and lots of dead hardheads. Not sure why they were there as the temps didn't get nearly that cold on the beach but they were there just the same.
