| I'm taking some leave and fishing the surf early next week, but just saw the wind forecasts. 20mph Mon and Tues. I'm still going to try to fish the surf early Monday for as long as I can. But I'm thinking of backup plans for the day time (night will be fishing the lighted docks on base/red dot/etc). There are some flats on the backside of the naval station. Anyone think there will still be trout that shallow after this recent front? Then I was wondering about the packery channel under the bridge heading to Mustang island from corpus. I see people wading out there. How solid is the ground on that sand road that goes back alongside the bridge to the water? I have a Tundra, but it's not 4 wheel drive. And does anyone ever fish Fish Pass further down the road? I saw a couple of spots for parking there. Thanks for any advice! I'm hoping to still get into some fish inspite of the wind. |

| Anybody? Can someone at least tell me how safe it is to drive on the sand on that little side road at packery? I'm refering to the one on the north side of 361. Fish pass? Soft sand? Hard pack? Driveable? |
