A friend sent me this info on Baffin per last week. Just passin it along.
"Baffin has suffered a massive kill of fish due to what i'am told an algea bloom which has cut the oxygen level so low that the fish cannot survive. It is not the red tide.
There are fish from small to large of every species you can think of, many trout in the 25 to 30" range.
Here are some photos I took this afternoon.
Not sure guys how long it will take for the fish to recover. It won't be anytime soon.
Its a sad day in baffin bay.

| I heard the majority of the kill was in the back of Baffin and some in Rocky Slough. Is that what it looked like to you? Were those pics from in the back? |
