A "Hazard to Navigation" like this needs to be reported to the Coast Guard. Tell me the GPS Coordinates and I'll take care of it for you. Someone has to do it. I'll even verify that your Coordinates are correct.

I agree, just can't start throwing up "piers" up in the middle of the laguna. What's the difference between this and a floater going up without a permit. It will be interesting to see how this progresses. Hope to find out where it is before one of my night wades.

I will check to see if there are the necessary permits.... In my opinion, there is already too much junk in the bays. All that stuff is a form of pollution that ends up being a boating hazard some day....

Dudes,

You like to wakeboard? I'm gonna clear that pier by 2 feet, then come back and put a nice shade cover over it. It's your's to enjoy.

Well that's good to know. It looks like its going to be a deluxe version.

I guess I am a little jaded right now. I hit the submerged remnants of an old duck blind post a few months ago. Bent my prop shaft at a cost of around $1000. There are still posts sticking up from another old blind about 200 yards to the west of this new one.

Go to the OSO site to get an updated pic. look under "Pics from the past weekend". I would say it will be a hazard unless it has a lot of lights. I almost hit a deck like that one night on a lake. Almost had to change pants, missed it by 5 feet.

i know exactly what you are talking about.. and that other blind was on a much shallower flat..this one is a tad deeper.. guys this will be just like the big fortress blind back by dead mans. Nobody should be driving in this area at night as its not a pathway to anywhere unless you like driving random flats.. once you see it once you should know where it is.. I for one know I will be doing some night fishing off the blind one of these days..
