I know this has been beat to death but im going to bring it up again. This happened a few months back. Got stuck in between backside of mustang and icw, not too far from naval station. Had to call sea tow. Im sure those of you know that sea tow is located at mm37, a stone throw away from naval station. Took this clown little over three hours to get to us. I know these guys gotta make money but come on. All i got to say is that im in the wrong buisiness. Mad

When you say "got stuck" when this "Clown" had to come get you, were you aground or with a mechanical problem you could not fix?

I don't have an opinion on the towing service but here are a couple of other options.... Jeff Kratz....mobil 946-1535....he is the owner of the
"Wide Load" and "Wide Load jr". and among many other services he provides for boat and cabin owners he provides a Towing Service @ 1/2 the price.

Or call me 361-537-4623...I have a towing endorcement on my license and have provided towing service from time to time.....

Neither Jeff or myself work with insurance claims but we can get you
back to the dock...by the way we only do inshore towing....if your offshore
build a sail and tell yourself you shouldn't of gone offshore Very Happy

Heck Mike, offshore on the coastal bend means that there will be an onshore seabreeze for 80% off the year.................. 98% for at least half the year. An enterprizing fellow with a little food and water can just drift in, fishing all the way!!!! Very Happy Laughing Cool Wink

You may wind up further north than you want but that beats the long/ SLOW drift to Cuba!!!! Shocked

just curious, were you in a blue wave? on a kind of cloudy, windy day? the yellow sea tow boat and Capt Arthur pull you in?

We had no mechanical problems but yes we did run aground just a tad. Im know for a fact this guy had no other tows that night because we saw the swirling micky mouse beacon on his boat. He must have sat in front of the naval station for about two hours, in one spot. I knew for a fact at this point i was going to get the root. lesson learned!! Thanks Capt. Mike I will input those #'s in my phone as I type. Thanks brother!!!!!!!

SSW would still put one on the Texas coast for the most part.................... depending on how far out you were!!!!! Shocked Even Port A is NNE of BHP and the rest of the Texas coast keeps tending further east. I WOULD be a long drift, but you'd have plenty of fishing time!!!! Laughing Laughing Laughing
