The farewell buoy at the Mansfield Jetties is no longer attached. Its up on PINS. Just thought I'd let a couple of the Kayak Fishermen on here know what's up in case they were planning to fish it. I've got some good memories of that thing...

Navigation buoys aren't any light order matter. SURELY the powers that be will notice #1, and get them back into position #2!!! Shocked

Yeah, I actually got a picture of that one while it was coming to shore.

I wonder where it came from? Do you notice the UFO in the picture?

The Farewell Bouy disappeared several weeks ago and the Port Mansfield people said the Coast Guard removed it because of their maintenance budjet constraints.
Don't know for sure about the Coast Guard info, but do know the bouy is gone!

That looks like a coyote blood bloated Asian Tiger Skeeter out of focus at three feet away swinging around to take a stab at you for a nightcap.
The saki ladel subliminal subtitle screams, "Tora, Tora, Tora!!!"

Is that the one that went "ding ding ding" all night. Sarah Leigh and I used to love to lay in our tent and listen to that thing.
